Choose an apprenticeship or traineeship
Once you've narrowed down your industry and career choices, search for related apprenticeships or traineeships on the Queensland Training Information Service (QTIS) website:
QTIS provides information on individual apprenticeships and traineeships including job summaries, special requirements, length, qualifications and government funding contributions.
Use pre-vocational courses
By choosing a pre-vocational or pre-apprenticeship course, you can get a 'taste' before committing to a full apprenticeship.
A pre-apprenticeship is entry level training which can lead to an apprenticeship. It's usually offered in electrical, plumbing and automotive trades.
